L’Ecurie, our one bedroom ground floor apartment
is ideal for 1-2 adults and is attached to the farmhouse St Victor du Fau. In front of the apartment is a pretty,
south facing private terrace with traditional French ironwork table and chairs, sun parasol, various plants,
strawberries and a small herb garden for our guests to use. This terrace is an ideal spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
The apartment is accessed by a front door, (private entrance) and leads into a hallway with a hanging
area for coats and an area for walking boots, shoes etc. Off the hallway is a double bedroom with kingsize cherry wood
French sleighbed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. Just off the bedroom is a luxury shower wet room
which was modernised in December 2010.

L'appartement
est accessible par une porte d'entrée, (entrée
privée) et conduit dans un couloir avec une zone de pendaison pour les manteaux et une
zone pour la marche des bottes, chaussures, ect. On se trouve une chambre double avec un grand lit double Français,
une armoire et commode. Juste à côté
de la chambre est une salle de douche de luxe qui a été modernisé en Décembre
2010.
The kitchen living room has an original rustic
stone wall, oak beamed ceiling, but was completely modernised in 2008 and has many modern comforts and is very homely. The
views from the windows are over a large lawn, woodland and the rolling hills. Very often guests have been lucky enough to
watch boxing hares, deer, wild boar, golden orioles and many other birds.
There is a back
door from the kitchen living room leading out on to a decked balcony with comfortable chairs
and a marble topped table overlooking the back lawned garden, trees and swimming pool. Stone steps
lead down on to a private lawn where there are 2 sunloungers for our guests.
There is access from here to the swimming pool across the lawn.

est très simple. Les vues des fenêtres
sont sur une grande pelouse,
bois et les collines. Très souvent, nos invités ont eu la chance de regarder lièvres, chevreuils, sangliers, loriots et
beaucoup d'autres oiseaux.
Il ya une porte
arrière de la salle de séjour cuisine donnant
sur un balcon à parée avec des fauteuils confortables et une table de marbre surmontée surplombant le jardin à l'arrière
avec pelouse, arbres et piscine. Des marches
de pierre mènent à une pelouse
privée où il ya 2 chaises longues
pour nos invités. Il ya un accès d'ici
à la piscine à travers la pelouse.
The sun sets at the back of the house in the early evening, thus
providing a wonderful place to sit, enjoy a drink and take in the last rays of the sun, listen to the golden orioles and watch
the horses stroll across the fields of the hill across the valley.
Between December 2010 and March 2011, Gite L'Ecurie was
extensively renovated and repainted and offers luxury accommodation to our guests.

As stated our Terms & Conditions, we expect the property to be left exactly how our guests would expect
to arrive at it. Departure cleaning by ourselves will be charged for at an hourly rate as detailed in our Terms &
Conditions and is not included in the rental price.
Please note we do not allow guests to use the kitchen/living
room as a bedroom sleeping on the sofa.
Arrival
for our L'Ecurie guests not before 3.00pm (no later than 8.00pm unless agreed in
advance, or there are unforseen delays please call us) and on departure day no later than 10.30am
please.
Electricity charge in
L'Ecurie
Due to the fact that the heating in the kitchen/living room is electric, plus there
is another electric radiator in the bedroom, electricity is charged for from November until end of March (if needed).
Our guests have complete control over the electric heating and it is metred and charged at the "going rate"
at the time of rental (usually from 1-3 Euros per day depending on the usuage of the radiators). This way, our
guests have the option to have as much heat as they require and have control of the cost.
The bedroom and
ensuite showeroom are either catered for by a gas central heating radiator (which comes on when the heating
is on in the main house and is not charged for) or an extra electric radiator which is in the bedroom and can
be used at our guests' discretion as and when.

The surroundings are amazing and there is much more to see than you can do in two weeks.
Don't miss the underground river in Labouiche, the castle in Foix and the lovely town of Mirepoix. The lake Mondeley
or the castle in Puivert are also worth the trip.

be an ideal base from which to sightsee.
The gite is located near Pamiers in tranquil surroundings in 50 acres
of woodland. It was fully equipped for all our needs and clean. Our hosts were Sara and Jeff who live in the attached building,
and were there for us when required, catering for our every whim, and we thank them for it.
Anyone wanting to get
away from it all and chill out would have to look far and wide to find a better place in this area.
